Mother of: Kerry, Rhonda, Darrel and Darlene

ADKINS (Arbaugh), Darlene Marie Passed away peacefully from this earthly home to her eternal home on the morning of May 10, 2006, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio - after a valiant battle against cancer! Born on May 5, 1943 in Detroit, MI, Darlene (Dee) was a woman of loving spirit and a stubborn will. God saw she was getting tired, And a cure was not to be; So He put his arms around her and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer, and saw her fade away; Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest; God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the Best! She was preceded in death by her parents John Arbaugh and Betty Niemeyer, her daughter Rhonda Vincent, and her brothers Charles and John Arbaugh and Wayne Mulholland. She leaves behind to love and miss her, her devoted partner Greg Cheshire, her proud children, Kerry Pietrzak (Nancy), Darrell Vincent and Darlene R. Adkins, and her six grandchildren, Randal, Danielle, Devon, Brian, Michael and Elvis. She also leaves behind, her loving brothers and sisters, Bettie Ann Van Winkle (David), Gary Mulholand (Susie), Ronnie Mulholland (Connie), Richie Mulholland (Marlene), and Patty Hite (Lonnie), many nieces and nephews, her stepfathers, Melvin Mulholland (Jan) and Vernon Niemeyer, and stepbrothers Jimmy, Jeff and Timmy. She now joins her parents, brothers, and daughter in heaven and waits for us to join her. We love you Darlene and will hold you in our hearts until we are all joined together again. Please join the family for funeral services on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. with viewing from 1 to 2 PM and services to follow. She will be buried at the Poplar Hill Cemetery at N. Dixie Dr. in Vandalia, Ohio. .Published in Dayton Daily News on May 12, 2006 Cause of Death: Lung Cancer
