A native of Henderson County, NC, he was the son of the late Eugene F. Dotson, Sr., and Madge K. Dotson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene "Pee Wee" Dotson; a sister, Martha Dotson; mother-in-law, Dot McGraw; father-in-law, Joe McGraw; and brother-in-law, Bobby McGraw.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 46 years, a daughter and her husband; a son and his wife, 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, 3 brother's-in-law, 3 brothers of the heart, and several aunts, uncles, cousins.
Butch worked for thirty years with Kimberly Clark as a machine operator. He retired from Advent Health after many years of faithful service. He loved working on old cars, specifically his 57 Chevy. He loved his Lord and family more than anything. You could always count on Butch. All you had to do was call and he was there.
Butch was an excellent, loving husband, daddy, Papa, father-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend. We all love and miss him.
Special thanks to the ICU at Advent Health for all their love and exceptional care.
