Ray was born and raised in St. Ansgar, Iowa – baptized and confirmed into his valued Lutheran faith. Raymond's strong faith carried him through life where he built his legacy.
Growing up, Ray was involved in band and football and worked a variety of jobs. He was a go getter, extremely sociable and had a love for life and everyone in his life. After graduating high school, Ray enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, serving January 18, 1947- February 28, 1950. After serving his country, Ray followed his dream and moved to Chicago where he studied electronics at DeVry Technical Institute. This led to a life career at Wells Gardner Electronics, with the abundant facets of televisions, and video gaming monitors.
While in Chicago, on a blind date, Ray met the love of his life Carmela nee Umberto. They married in 1954 and celebrated 67 years together. They raised a family in the true sense of love, dedicating their life to their family.
After retiring from Wells Gardner, Ray joined the Chicago Cubs family. Working at Wrigley Field for 20 years, brought a lot of happy memories to both our parents.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Carmela and their daughter, Donna Mae; Parents, Elenora and Wilmer Rosel; Mother-In-Law, Nicoletta (Anthony) Umberto; Brothers, Robert (Margaret) Rosel, and Wayne Rosel; Sister, Dorothy Flygstad; Sister-In-Law: Barbara Rosel, Mary (Richard) Fellows, Sue (Les) Titschler.
