CLARENDON - Doris H. Weeks, 87, died January 9, 2008, at Rutland Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. She was born Doris Eva Howard in Whitewater, Wisconsin, on July 13, 1920, the daughter of Frank J. and Florence (Collins) Howard. She married William A. Weeks on April 19, 1952, and moved with him to Clarendon in 1965. A 1938 graduate of Whitewater High School, she was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for a number of local businesses. With her husband, she owned and operated Skyway Farm and Animal Analysis Associates. Mrs. Weeks was a member of the Regional Ambulance Service board of directors, serving as vice president at the time of her death. She was a volunteer at Rutland Regional Medical Center for over 25 years and was an auditor for the town of Clarendon. Survivors include a daughter, Mary and her husband David of Wallingford; two grandchildren, Devin and Karen of Castleton; a foster sister, Ethel Kelly Aspinall of Grayslake, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews, including Becky Hahn of Boyceville, Wis. She was predeceased by her husband in 1994; a brother, Merle Howard of Watertown, Wis.; and a sister, Mary Mason of Whitewater, Wis.
Tossing Funeral Home of Rutland is in charge of arrangements. Private burial will be held at a later date in the East Clarendon cemetery.
