Lucy Deann Yancy Ward, 84, of Fort Smith, AR, formerly from Booneville, AR has passed from this life on Monday, November 20, 2023.

Deann grew up in the Paris and Scranton area where she lived with her parents: Hartsel and Lucile (Johnson) Dotson and her brother: Don Dotson. She married Jimmy Ted Yancy and together they raised 4 children.

Deann was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, her husbands: Jimmy Yancy and Jim Ward, and along with her son: Jacky Don Yancy.

Deann is survived by three children: Jimmy Don Yancy, Johnny Yancy and Sherry Yancy; one sister-in-law: Connie Brown. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren and many great friends.

Deann was retired from Fort Chaffee and then continued to work with the elderly. She will be greatly missed, and her spirit will live on in those she loved.

A family held public graveside service will be held at 2:00p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Paint Park Cemetery in Driggs, AR for her and her son: Jacky Don Yancy.
