James Joseph Alibrio, of Harrisburg, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2022 at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center at the age of 78. Born May 26, 1944, in Worcester, MA, he was a son of the late Helen and Anthony Alibrio. A long-time resident of Manchester, CT, he graduated from Manchester High School in 1962 and later earned his Bachelors degree from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT in 1966 and a Master's degree in Pittsburgh. Following his formal education, Jim spent three years in the Peace Corps, stationed in Malawi, Southeastern Africa, before taking up residency in Harrisburg. He spent his career working for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Statistical Analysis Department rising to the position of Director of Statistical Analysis for the Department of Probation and Parole. Jim leaves behind two brothers: his twin, Anthony of Moultonborough, NH and Robert and his spouse Donna of Manchester, CT as well as two nieces and five nephews and their 19 children. Jim was single his entire life and in his later years developed health and mobility issues. The family would like to offer their gratitude and appreciation to two of Jim's friends: Santos Lopez and his significant other of over 25 years, Ramona Moreno-Soto, who spent countless hours over the past few years assisting him in his home as well as providing transportation to shopping, making doctors appointments and whatever else was needed to be of help. They were truly his "Angels on Earth". In keeping with his wishes, Jim was laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery, West Hanover Township. The family is planning a Memorial Service for Jim in Manchester, CT in the late Spring of 2023.
