Born April 2nd, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA to Charles Ernest and Luella Josephine Burns Myers; she was the 3rd of their 6 children.
Her short marriage in 1954 to William Robert Keller gave rise to 3 beautiful children in Pleasantville, NJ. Upon moving back to Pittsburgh she met and married the love of her life, John Anthony Tabella.
Charlotte's selflessness knew no bounds. She never met a stranger; and you should never have been surprised there was a visitor stopping by to simply say hello "since they were in the area". Everyone that ever crossed her path could guarantee a warm hug, a beautiful laugh, and possibly an ice cream cone to welcome them in the door. Please know that she kept every single letter and card you ever sent her, and loved every last one of them. She adored her family, birds, and nature; was creative, and her artistic nature led her to painting, woodworking, collaging, and scrapbooking. A lifelong genealogist, Charlotte spent countless hours writing to libraries and archives to obtain as much information she could to build the family tree; inspiring her granddaughters to continue her work.
Together Charlotte and John enjoyed bowling, vacationing with friends in Seven Springs, and attending as many family events, birthdays, high school graduations, and celebrations they could fit into their schedules over the years.
Predeceased by her parents, and siblings Grace, Luella, Charles, and half-sister Betty; she is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; children William Robert Keller Jr (Eileen), Joyce Ann Lee, and Linda Lee Stewart (Mike); grandchildren James Lee, Melissa Gallagher, Sandra Keller, Cathleen Powell (Adam), Jason Stewart, Brandon Abbott; great grandchildren Maya, Jacob, Arianna, Zoey, Elliott, and Miles; siblings Sandra Jane Hall (Jerry) and Joy Ann Myers; many nieces, nephews, extended family; Shirley, whom she affectionately called her adopted daughter, and Shirley's son Eddie who has only ever known Charlotte as Grandmom.
In recent years Charlotte suffered from dementia; but even in the end she would still remind you she was not all right, but also half left. We can never thank her sisters Sandra and Joy enough for all the time and love they dedicated to her these last years. Charlotte loved everyone she ever met; and should you happen to see a cardinal today, that's just her saying her goodbyes while flying off onto her next journey.
Charlotte will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at Anthony M Musmanno Funeral Home & Chapel in McKees Rocks, PA on Friday Dec 15th, 2023 10am-12pm with a service to follow.
