Obituary
On Saturday, December 2, Dora Anne Stockard Sides was welcomed into the arms of her Savior, and surely heard the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
Dora Anne was born on November 17, 1933, in Denton, TX, the daughter of Joe Allie and Garnette Womack Stockard. She married her husband Ollie Meredith "Doak" Sides in August 1954, and they were able to celebrate their 69th wedding anniversary this year. Dora Anne was a faithful woman of prayer who for decades lived a life serving her Lord. She especially loved helping children learn their Bible Verses and was known to slip them a piece of candy on Sunday mornings. She truly desired that everyone have the opportunity to hear and respond to the good news of a Savior that loved them so much that He came to this earth, died on the cross, and rose from the grave three days later. Even during her battle with Alzheimers the past few years, she would end any prayer with an enthusiastic "AMEN!"
The family would like to honor and thank Lake Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the six and a half years of love and care they showed Dora Anne. She loved them and considered them her family.
She is survived by her daughters Mern Nichols of Mesquite, TX and Dawn Zoschke and her husband Dan of Thomas, OK. Her grandchildren: Atalie Blount, and her husband Justin, their children: Amelia and Oliver; Ezra Zoschke, and his wife Kelly, their children: Isaiah, Brinley, Hezekiah, and Presley. Asa, and his wife Nanette, their children Azariah and Anastasia. Jeremiah Nichols, and his wife Emily, their children Hosanna, Havilah, Shalom and Simeon. Meredith Nichols, of Lewisville, TX. Elijah Zoschke, and his wife Meghan, their children Elisha, Eliana, and Zechariah. Rebekah Ramyar, and her husband Nasir, their children Sahar, Zaki and Yosef. Zeke Zoschke of Dallas, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Allie and Garnette Stockard, and her husband, Ollie Meredith "Doak" Sides.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Lewisville Bible Church where Doak and Dora Anne Sides were faithful attenders.
