Mrs. Bresett succumbs to illness:
Hammond: Mrs. Lulu Eliza Bresett, 49, wife of Leon Bresett, died this morning at 5 o'clock at her home on the South Woods Road in Macomb. She had been in failing health the past two years and had been confined to bed for the past four months.
Mrs. Bresett was born in Rossie, Dec 13, 1889, a daughter of Daniel and Minnie Hunter Simons. She passed her early life in Rossie and received her education there. On June 10, 1909 she was married to Leon Bresett of Rossie. They lived in Rossie for a few years and 22 years ago moved to the Mresett farm in Macomb on the South Woods Road.
Mr. Bresett is a prominent and well known farmer and also public welfare officer of Macomb.
Surviving besides her husband are one son, Harold Bresett and a daughter Myrtle, both at home; one brother, Albert, of Hammond; one niece, Lulu Belle Simons, of Hammond, and one nephew, Tyril Bresett of Pope Mills.
Mrs. Bresett was a devoted wife and loving mother and an active worker for the Brasie Corners M. E. Church for many years. Her many friends will deeply regret her passing. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Brasie Corners: The funeral of Mrs. Lulu Bressett was held Saturday at 2 pm from her home on the South Woods road. She was laid to rest in the Pleasant Lake Cemetery. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Much sympathy is extended the family. She will not only be missed in her home by all, she will also be missed in the church and in the community. She was always ready to help for the good of others.
Much sympathy is extended to Mr. Leon Bressett, Harold & Myrtle. Mrs. Bressett was a long and patient sufferer and will be missed by her neighbors and friends.
