Graveside services for Abraham Lacey Wade Sr. of Greenwood will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Wade, 69, died of cancer Saturday, April 19, 2008, at his home.

He was born in Lexington and lived in the Horseshoe Lake area. He was a retired heavy construction operator. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 2nd Class.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Joseph "Joe" Wade and Ruby Howard Wade; two sons, Shane and Shannon Wade; three sisters and a brother.

He is survived by three sons, Lacey Darrell Wade and Chris Wade, both of Greenwood, and Abraham Lacey "A.J." Wade Jr. of Holcomb; four daughters, JoAnn "JoJo" Hurst of Batesville, Renee Wiggins of Greenwood, Lacy "Nikki" Wade of Carrollton and Marissa Wade of Holcomb; two brothers, James Ellis Wade of Mansfield, Mass.., and William Joseph Wade Jr. of West Point; three sisters, Della Wages of Aberdeen and Betty Potts and Bobbie White, both of Memphis; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation .will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Williams & Lord Funeral Home.

The Rev. Bernard Wiggins will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Chris Wade, Joe Gentry, L.C. Smith, Ray Smith, Jonathan Kent and Zack Storey.
