Jerry V., 48, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004 in Minco, Oklahoma. He was born June 29, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Boyce and Willene (Johnson) Dale. Jerry was united in marriage to Laurie Dewhirst on July 27, 1973 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jerry attended Capitol Hill High School. After high school, Jerry went to work for his grandfather in the flooring business and later became a partner of Temple Johnson Floor Company. He was a member of the Mayridge Baptist Church. He had many hobbies including hunting, spending time at deer camp, riding 4-wheelers, talking on CB radios, golfing, and spending time with his family and especially the grandchildren. Jerry is survived by his wife, Laurie Dale; sons, Bryan Dale and wife Kristen; Chris Dale and wife Selena; daughter, Missy Dale; grandsons, Caiden Dale and Tyler Dale; granddaughter, Kailey Speers; foster children, Johnny and Derrick Burris, Cheyenne, Cherokee, and Chaune Anthony; his mother, Willene Dale; brother, Temple Dale, wife Karen, nephew Kadell; father in law, John S. Dewhirst; and brothersn in law, Johnny Dewhirst, wife Edna, niece Dena, and Jimmy Dewhirst, wife Donna, nieces Lyndsay and Lisa. He was preceded in death by his father; both grandparents; and his mother in law, Carolyn Dewhirst. Funeral services will be held 3:30 P.M., Thursday, January 29, 2004 in the Mayridge Baptist Church with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
