Noah "Percy" Collins, 86, of Maysville, NC, was welcomed alongside his family in the arms of Jesus on September 7, 2023.

Percy was born and raised in the Black Swamp community and nowhere else ever felt like home. It was here that he spent his days driving tractor, tilling the soil and planting the fields, hunting the land, and always looking for the next big buck or strutting turkey. He was a long-time member of Black Swamp Hunting Club and spent countless hours faithfully working to maintain the land that he loved to hunt so much.

He was a proud carpenter and valued the importance of hard work. His hands worked tirelessly building homes, crafting furniture and cabinets all made meticulously and with love.

Percy had many titles in his life: "Demon" by his hunting club friends, friend and "Buddy." But the two favorite titles he had were Brother and Uncle P.

The memories that were shared and the stories that were told will forever be engrained within our hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Alice Collins of Roanoke Rapids and Lucille Wiggins and husband, Bill of Maysville; nieces, Janice Tyler and husband, Doug of New Bern, Jeana Kahlert and husband, Ted of Maysville; nephew, Jimmy Meadows Jr., and wife, Amy of Maysville, Greg Wiggins and wife, Rhonda of Jacksonville, Alabama and David Wiggins of Maysville; great-nephews, John, Sam, Cody, Mike, and Bill; great-niece, Emily and many other friends who loved him dearly.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Kahlert Funeral Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Grants Creek Baptist Church, 1401 Old 30 Road Maysville, NC 28555. Interment will follow at the Riggs Family Cemetery, Maysville, NC.
