Miguel Angel Abdala Romero, 60, of Cuba, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at his residence.
He was born March 22, 1963 in Cuba to Josè Nemecio Abdala of Cuba and the late Josefa Romero. Miguel was the Hispanic Pastor for Highland Baptist Church in Hickory. He was part of the Bob C. Ross Ministries, was an International Missionary, and Church Planter for the Baptist Convention of North Carolina.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law.

A service to celebrate Miguel's life will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church in Hickory. Rev. Dr. Jeff Myers will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 to 2:45 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church. A graveside service to celebrate Miguel's life will be held on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory.
