Cynthia S. Wright, 83, of Stafford, passed away on December 9, 2023. Cynthia, also known as "Nanny" or "Mom," was born on November 7, 1940 in Fredericksburg to Sydney and Anna Bell Snellings.
Cynthia met Aubrey Wright in 1960 and they were married one year later. Together they had four children. Throughout her life, Cynthia enjoyed many careers such as accounting, medical billing, and being a friendly face at the local Big Lots. Cynthia spent a majority of her time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, shopping and exploring Fredericksburg. She was known for her endless compassion towards everyone and a certain stubbornness that would make anyone laugh. Cynthia carried such a beautiful energy that made anyone feel at home if they were near. Her impact on the world will continue to live on in those she loved.
Cynthia is survived by her children: Ray Wright (Tracy), Donna Hawkins, Vickie Hannah (Daniel), and Michael Wright (Patrice); six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
Her celebration of life will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA. The service will also be live streamed on the Found and Sons website.
