U.S. Army, WW II, Vietnam, Col. Fyock entered the military in 1948 and retired in 1975. He worked at the Phillips Petroleum Co. and the RJR Nabisco Co., and in 1988 founded his own communicaitons consulting firm, James A. Fyock & Associates in Winston-Salem, where he retired in 2000.
