Doris E. Chapman, 93, of Kokomo, IN, formerly of Logansport, IN, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo, IN.
Born on November 28, 1930 in Keithsburg, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank C. and Elzene (Peterson) Waters. On July 9, 1948 in Logansport, IN, Doris married Selmar E. Chapman, who preceded her in death on March 10, 2008.
Doris was a homemaker. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and had been attending Victory Baptist Church in Kokomo. Doris enjoyed sharing and teaching the Bible, doing puzzles and playing games. She was a stabilizing influence on her family which she loved spending time with.
Surviving are two sons; five granddaughters; two grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Gundrum Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ennis officiating. Burial will follow at Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Logansport, IN. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until the time of service on Friday.
