He married Clara Hazel Henry (1898-1977) on 9 July 1916, in Coke, Texas. They were the parents of at least 2 sons and 2 daughters. He lived in Eddy, New Mexico in 1935 and Justice Precinct 4, Dawson, Texas in 1940. He died on 3 December 1975, in Hammond, Lake, Indiana, at the age of 79, and was buried in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Gary, Lake, Indiana.
