Georgia Ann Boyer-Lichthardt, 79, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in her home. She was born in DeKalb, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Lambert) Brooks. Georgia was a graduate of DeKalb High School, class of 1962. She attended Northern Illinois University where she graduated with her BA degree. Georgia received her master's degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign. She married Douglas Arthur Boyer on March 21, 1970. He passed away on August 23, 1994. She then married Robert Lichthardt on December 23, 2006. He passed away on January 11, 2019. She was a former member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. Georgia was a volunteer at Mercy Health where she served over 5000 hours and was awarded the Alma Fringer Award for exemplary service in 2021. She was a member of CEANCI (career education associates of north central Illinois), the Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Services, and the Illinois Retired Teachers Foundation.

Survived by her son, Jason (Karen) Boyer of Phoenix, AZ; her daughter, Ticia (Wilfrido Trejo) Boyer of Rolling Meadows; her granddaughter, Kennedy Boyer; her sister, Pauling Byro and her sister-in-law, Gloria Brooks. Predeceased by her parents, her husband, Doug and her husband, Bob; her siblings, Ross, Doris and Howard.
