Anastacia M. Mejia, 66, of 858 S. Henderson St. died Monday, April 5, 2004, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
Born Dec. 25, 1937, in Altona to Antonio and Guadalupe Portales Perales, she married Frank Mejia in Galesburg. He died in 1998.
She also was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Surviving are one son, Andrew Kidd of Bossier City, La.; one daughter, Virginia Parks of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; one brother, Joseph Perales of Laredo, Texas; and one sister, Carmen Alfaro of Galesburg.
She worked in the kitchen at the Huddle in Galesburg for many years. She also worked in the kitchen at Cottonwood Nursing Home.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Galesburg, its Altar and Rosary Society and the Third Order of the Carmelites.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
