Patricia Ann Kyzer, 79, passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on the morning of December 27, 2023 in Benton, Ark.

Pat's strong spirit had been tested across the last four years as she had confronted health challenges and longed deeply to be reunited with her late husband, David.

Pat was born September 26, 1944 to the late Emmett Martiness and Velva Glover.

At the ripe "old" age of fifteen, her friend Elaine introduced her to her handsome brother, David. Two months later he asked Pat to marry him, she said no because she wanted to be an airline stewardess. To her surprise, David was persistent and asked again two months later and this time, his charm was too much to resist so she said yes. They went on to have four beautiful children and a marriage that carried them through fifty-nine years.

When she married into the Kyzer family, she began working in the family plant and produce business. They were the poster family for the saying "it takes a village to raise a child". All of the children were blessed with lots of aunts and cousins that felt more like siblings.

It is said that when Pat married David, his little brother, Tony, cried because Pat was taking David away from him. That pain was short lived because a few years later Tony would marry Doris, Pat's little sister. Pat and Doris spent all their years taking their kids on adventure after adventure, it's possible those adventures were spent driving aimlessly because they were lost listening to Pats directions. There was never a dull moment if Pat was around.

Pat, her sister, and sisters-in-law began driving a school bus for many years in Pulaski County, and she may have kicked an unruly kid off her bus a time or two, we cannot confirm or deny this information.

Pat went on to become a talented seamstress and designer, specializing in elegant formal wear and pageant clothes. After being blessed with a little girl, Pat could be found at a pageant somewhere in the southeast almost every weekend. When the pageant era came to an end, you could find Pat in front of her home running her never-ending yard sale. We aren't sure if it was the selling or the visiting she enjoyed the most. She tried to have a yard sale up to her last year.

Pat was clearly blessed with a full and exciting life. She kept her family and "Life with Pat" followers in stitches to the very end.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, David G. Kyzer, Sr.; son, David G. Kyzer, Jr.; grandson, Allen Mannon; and siblings, Jerry Martiness, Rita Miller, Kathleen Cherry, and Sue Helm.

Those survived by Pat include her children, Shawn (Kristal) Kyzer, Trina (Presley) Huckabee, and Johnny Kyzer; grandchildren, Priscilla Campbell, Trina Miller, Morgan Long, Aly Kyzer, Sophia Huckabee, Landry Roberts, and Fletcher Roberts; sister, Doris Kyzer; and a host of great-grandchildren who she loved and adored.

Memorial services will be held privately in the care of Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
