Lawrence James "Babe" Horaney, 71, of 280 E. Losey St. died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Heartland Health Care.

He was born June 14, 1928, in Streator to William L. and Mary Onderko Horaney.

Surviving are five brothers, George, Robert, William, James and Thomas, all of Galesburg; and one sister, Christine Thurman of Galesburg.

One brother preceded him in death.

He was a Korean War Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 285. He owned and operated Main Liquor Mart in Galesburg for more than 20 years.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Galesburg and the BPOE 894.

Cremation will be accorded. Private family burial of ashes will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
