Esther Wisler, 93, of Shipshewana, IN died at her home on Monday, January 1, 2024.
Mrs. Wisler was born on August 15, 1930, in Shipshewana, IN to Samuel and Edith (Young) Beachy.
Living her lifetime in LaGrange County, she had been a homemaker. Esther enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and reading, especially her Bible.
On January 5, 1952, in Ozark, AL, she married Wesley Lee Wisler; he preceded her in death on June 4, 2017.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Lou (Tim Wade) Sheley of LaGrange, IN and Amanda Rae Wisler of Shipshewana, IN ; a son Timothy Owen Wisler of Silverton, OR; six grandchildren, Clint Farmwald of Arizona, Chelsea Farmwald of Georgia, Eliza (Jason) Johnson of Howe, IN, Kyle (Taleasha) Sheley of Middlebury, IN, Jared Nelson of Shipshewana, IN, and Aubrey Kilgore of Shipshewana, IN; and three great-grandchildren, Evan and Colin Sheley and Sawyer Mae Johnson.
Preceding her in death along with her husband, were her parents, Samuel and Edith Beachy; a daughter, Rebecca Sue Franks; two sisters, Rosemary Ringler and Gladys Bright; and a brother, Robert Beachy.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 5, 2024, at 11:00 am at Lima United Methodist Church, 6900 N 450 W, Shipshewana, IN with Pastor Kevin Brower officiating. Visitation will take place at the church an hour prior to the services.
Burial will follow at Scott Cemetery in rural Shipshewana, IN.
