Daughter of Christophe Barrette and Henriette Dion. She was baptised in the parish of St-Raymond-Nonnat on 10 October 1851. Her godparents were Joseph Dion and Henriette Moisan.

At 21, she married Elie Frenette (21yo) in St-Raymond on 24 February 1873.

They settled in St-Leonard and had at least 4 children together.

She died aged 64 and was buried on 23 October 1915.
