She was employed by the former Talon Inc. and American Viscose Corp., and was a graduate of Union City High School Class of 1931.
Mrs. Portfilio is survived by a son, Frank James (Sonny) Portfilio and his wife, Cathy, of Saegertown; two grandchildren, Karen and Michael; three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Megan and Daniel; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; and four sisters, Ethel, Pauline, Margaret and Eva.
Services are private and will be at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in St. Brigid Cemetery, West Mead Township. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the YMCA, 365 Chestnut St., Meadville, Pa. 16335; or the French Creek Valley Railroad Society, c/o Crawford County Historical Society, 411 Chestnut St., Meadville, Pa. 16335. Arrangements are under the direction of Byham-Miller-Mizner Funeral Home Inc., 404 Chestnut St., Meadville.
