Joseph Robert "Joey" Wilson, Jr., 77, died on October 22, 2022. He was born on August 1, 1945 in the Bronx, New York to Joseph Robert Wilson, Sr. and Ida (Gougeon) Wilson. He grew up in Hollywood, Florida. He enlisted in the United States Navy after high school and served as a Dental Technician stationed with the Marines. He and his wife were married in March of 1967. They lived near his family in Michigan for a ffew years, and then moved to Kershaw, South Carolina in 1971. He worked as a foreman and middle management at CP&L most of his adult life and was a skilled carpenter. In 2005, he and his wife moved to close to Bluffton, South Carolina to be near their daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward Wilson. He was survived by his wife of fifty-five years, daughter, adopted daughter and son, six grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
