Alice Marie Bales, age 91, of New Market, TN., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church for 42 years. She retired from Magnavox after 35 years. She was saved at an early age, loved her church, and worked in the nursery for many years. She loved all the little ones. She enjoyed making bibles in different languages for missionaries. She enjoyed sewing, bowling, crocheting, and spoiling the grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Bales, daughter, Norma Matthews, brother, J.C. Huffaker, sisters, Anna Huffaker and Cleo Taylor, grandson, Carlus Bales, Baby Knox, and parents, John and Lucille Huffaker.
She is survived by her children, William (Billy) T. (Edwina) Bales, Darrell R. (Cindy) Bales, and Jeffery P. (Faye) Bales, grandchildren, Kenny (Corena) Matthews, Dwight (Holly) Bales, Matthew (Amy) Bales, Bryant Bales, and Danyelle (Jesse) Bales Moore, great grandchildren, Billy Bales, Danny Bales, Emily Bales, Rebecca Bales, Emery Bales, Harper Bales, Blayne Bales, Jasper Matthews, Jaxon Matthews, Liam Moore, Jaymison Moore, and Easton Bales.
Funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Lindsey officiating. Graveside interment service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
