     Edward W. Aagaard, 56, of Boise died Tuesday, May 22, 1990, in a Boise hospital of cancer.
     Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 1990, at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel. Cremation will follow the services.
     Ed was born Oct. 1, 1933, at Chicago, Ill., a son of Carl and Julia Aagaard. As a young boy he was baptized into the Lutheran Church. Ed and his family lived in Illinois until he was 11, when they moved to Clear Lake, Iowa, where he graduated from high school. Upon his graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Ed's career was very important to him. He was very patriotic and had a deep love for his country. During his 21 years of service he was stationed at numerous military bases in the united States. He also served overseas at Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and West Germany. During the Vietnam Conflict he served in Japan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Korea. He was honored with the Air Force Accommodation Medal with Cluster. He was last stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base where he retired as a Master Sergeant in 1974. Ed worked in the civilian sector as a sales representative for Tel-Car Communications number of years. At the time of his death, he was working as a purchasing agent for AAtronics of Boise.
     Ed married Janice on July 8, 1962. They had a marriage of happy moments and beautiful memories. They enjoyed doing things together such as boating and camping. They had recently moved into their new home. Ed had enjoyed planning and watching the home being built. It was his pride and joy and brought him much happiness. He especially loved watching the animals that passed by his home. Ed loved all animal life and always had food handy to feed his animal friends.
     Survivors include his wife, Janice of Boise; one sister, Julie Niehoff of Chicago, Ill.; Janice's parents, Harland and Vivian Storey of Boise; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Cheri and Jeff Sparks and Cindy and Bob Stanphill of Boise; one brother-in-law and his wife, Bruce and Bette Storey of Reno, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews.
