Barbara Ann (Berry) Denneny, age 91, of Middletown Delaware, passed away on January 11, 2024. Barbara was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on June 12, 1932 to the late Rose (Richard) and Donald Berry.
Barbara was an energetic and vibrant person who loved her family deeply. She always made time for her beloved grandchildren and enjoyed meeting and getting to know her great-grandchildren. As an artisan quilter, she made many handcrafted items including lovely baby quilts that are treasured by her family and friends.
After growing up in Massachusetts, Virginia, and Rhode Island, she and her husband Ray moved to Delaware and together raised their family. They enjoyed 20 years in the Retread Motorcycle Club, traveling coast to coast by motorcycle.
After retiring from the Chrysler Newark Assembly plant cafeteria, Barbara realized her dream of living at the beach for several years, ultimately settling in Middletown. Barbara was an active member at Connection Community Church. In addition to attending services, she helped with snacks for services and events, volunteer activities, Emmaus worship, and loved her bible study group.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Raymond Denneny Sr; her daughter, Tricia Morris; her son-in-law, Paul Morris; and her sister, Joanna Maddox.
