Carmela Lynn Barradas, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at her home. She was 47.

Born on September 13, 1976, in Lebanon, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Tearl and Mayola Morgan Richardson. Carmela was a homemaker. Her children and grandchild were her world. She loved helping people, watching movies, and working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Bruce's Chapel Church.

She is survived by her husband, Ruben Barradas of Liberty; two daughters, Casperina (Nathan) Juliet Maylynn Umphress and Ellen Grace Faulstein Barradas, both of Casey County; a son, Joshua Tearl Ruben Barradas of Casey County; a grandson, Malachi Ruben Paul Umphress; two sisters, Regina (Billy) Roy and Misty (Gary) Propes, both of Casey County; and a brother, Tim Coffman of Casey County.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Bruce's Chapel Church with Bro. Chris Hatter officiating. Burial will follow in Bruce's Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Bruce's Chapel Church.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting funeral expenses.
