Alan was born in Maine to Arthur and Helen Clifford during WWII. The family moved to Washington State in 1952 and settled in Snohomish County. He graduated from Mountlake Terrace HS in 1962.
Alan loved the great northwest and never lived anywhere else for the rest of his life. His favorite place was Mt. Pilchuck and he always lived in view of the beautiful mountains of Washington State.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings. He passed away at home after a brave struggle with ALS, under the loving care of his family. He is fondly remembered by his family and many friends.
