Our dearly loved and loving father and grandfather, Gene William Gray died April 23, 2008 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in the University Village area of Salt Lake City, Utah at the age of 85.


Gene was born July 1, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to James and Adella Curtis Gray. He was married and divorced four times and had six children and many grandchildren. Our father was very proud of being a Merchant Marine during World War II. Gene was an inventor and entrepreneur all of his life with his best known invention being the "pocket hair brush" which is known world wide.


Gene is survived by children, Pamela Jean (Brad) Allred; Melanie Allison (Gregory) Offermann, Michael William Gray, Deborah Leslie Marinos; step-daughter, Rochelle, ex-wife Charmagne; many grandchildren; brother, Farrell Gray and sister, Faye Corser. Gene was preceded in death by his sons, Jerry Lynn Gray and Ricky Gray and sister, Naomi Snow.


Family and Friends are welcome to a Memorial Service to be held at the Veteran's Memorial Chapel (located on the 1st floor of the main building), 550 Foothill Drive, SLC, on Saturday, April 26 at 12 noon.
Interment: Salt Lake City Cemetery.
