Joyce Ann Lindsey (Granny) Devoted Mother, Granny, and Great-Grandmother, Granny, 78, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Unity Health Hospital in Jacksonville, Ark., with her family by her side. Granny was born on June 30, 1945, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, to Ann Elizabeth Simmons.

Granny loved fishing, cooking, swimming, spending time with her family and friends and playing poker.

Granny married Cletis F. Lindsey, Sr., on July 4, 1962, in Hancock, Ind., and they were blessed with four children, Tammy Carmichael, Sherry Young, Cletis Lindsey, Jr., and Danny Lindsey.

Granny was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Elizabeth Adams; her husband, Cletis F. Lindsey, Sr.; and her sisters, Janice Eddy and Jannette Eddy.

Granny is survived by her children, Tammy (Paul) Carmichael, Sherry (Steve) Young, Cletis (Amanda) Lindsey, Jr., and Danny Lindsey; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her beloved friend, Joe Cataldo; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Granny especially will be remembered for her love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Ark. 72076. 501-982-3400. www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com
