In 1980, Bob left his native Texas for Alabama. He made a home with his wife and shared 49 years of marriage. He earned degrees from Texas Tech, Wichita State, and The University of Houston. He devoted his career to the U.S. space program, working as an aerospace engineer on projects from the Apollo moon missions to the Spacelab and the space shuttle.
While in college, Bob's love of Texas Tech sports began. He was a Red Raider through and through, but when he arrived in Alabama, his love for college sports expanded to the University of Alabama. Although loyal to Tech, he loved supporting a national champion. His favorite sport was baseball and he was a huge Astros fan. Bob was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. His kind and giving spirit will be missed by many.
