An autopsy is scheduled to be performed today at Bellevue Hospital, New York City, on the body of William R. F. Jenne, of 630 Ringgold Street, in an effort to determine the exact cause of his death, which occurred yesterday at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York City.
Mr. Jenne never recovered from injuries he received in a fall into a pit at the Harmon yards of the New York Central Railroad last June 23. Mr. Jenne, who was 70 years old, was under, treatment at his home and Peekskill Hospital before going to New York City. Officials at the Hospital for Special Surgery suggested an autopsy, and Mrs. Jenne consented.
The Peekskill man was employed at the Harmon shops as a pipefitter for 28 years. When he fell into the pit, his back was injured.
He resided in Peekskill for 25 years and before that in Montrose. He was born in New York City. He was a member of the Buchanan Sick and Death Benefit Society, the New York Central Veterans' Association and the Harmon Aid Society.
The Rev. Kenneth Truran, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate at Funeral services at Ulm Brothers Chapel on Monday, Nov. 15, at 2 o'clock. The interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.
In addition to his wife, the former Harriet Lawrence, a daughter, Mrs. Humbert (Catherine) Ottaviano of Croton, a sister and a brother, Mrs. Buitis Bird and Thomas Jenne, both of Yonkers, and three grandchildren.
