Irene M. Smith, 83, of Tooele, Utah passed away October 22, 2023. She was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on April 11, 1940, to Joe and Eugenia Martinez.
She is survived by her two sons Tony (Jenifer) and Nick (Hobbit), her grandchildren Olivia (Jorden), Aidan, Zoe, Elise, Jorden, Logan, Dayton, and Breklynn, her sisters Margie, Ruby (Jimmy), and brother Alfred (Evon). She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Edwin Lynn Smith, brothers Don (Lelia), Albert, Demeterio (Dorothy), and sister Toni.
Rene loved her family and friends dearly. She was a very giving person, everyone's second mom. She loved her MM girls. She was an avid golfer, bowler, and bingo player. She loved her Utah Jazz, 49ers, and the Utah Utes. Nothing sums her up more than good ole blue eyes, because she did it her way.
A viewing will be held from 10:00 -11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. Marguerite Catholic Church, with rosary at 11:00 and Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM. Interment at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park.
