Mr. Judd was born in Virginia August 9, 1839. He fought in the Civil War, was enlisted Setember 6, 1862 and served until he was honorably released September 15, 1865.
He joined the Mormon church in 1888 and came to the Gila valley in 1890. He leaves an aged wife and a large family of children, all of whom are married.
The funeral services were held in the church on Wednesday afternoon. The hall was prettily decorated for the occasion. The choir furnished appropriate singing. The speakers were Richard Layton, John Nash, Patriarch Claridge, Jacob McGuire and C. M. Layton. All bore testimony of his faithfulness, honesty and integrity. The remains were interred in the Thatcher cemetery.
