Wengler, Lila Wicklund Age 79, passed away peacefully at home on Monday Dec 14th, 2015. Born on 11/28/1936, in Fargo, ND. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth Wicklund. Lila graduated Valedictorian from Hopkins High School in 1953 and received a BS degree in Medical Technology in 1958 from the University of MN. She served as Chief Med Technologist in the Blood Bank at the University of MN Hospital and the Veterans Adminstration Hospital in Washington D.C. She was a Clinical Instructor in Hematology at the University of MN Medical School...and according to her grandchildren, the maker of world's greatest pot roasts. A loving wife of 57 years to Robert, and devoted mother of Michael, Catherine, Kirsten, and Rob. Preceded in death by parents and cherished siblings, Jerome, Carol, and Richard. Survived and greatly missed by husband Robert Wengler, children Michael (Gitte) Wengler, Catherine (Dayne) Sieling, Kirsten (Patrick) Burton, and Rob (Molly) Wengler and 11 beloved grandchildren. Celebration of life to be held at the Bayview Event Center 687 Excelsior Blvd, Excelsior, MN on January 9th, 12-4 PM.
