He graduated from Robert E. Fitch High School in the Class of 1960. After high school, David joined the U.S. Airforce and trained and served in both Lackland and Eglin Air Force Bases. He was a dedicated employee of Electric Boat for 33 years and retired in 1996. David, an active and devoted life member of the Groton Elks Lodge, was recognized as Elk of the Year in 1998. He was also an avid New York Giants and UConn basketball fan.
David was predeceased by his wife of 22 years, Carolyn Patricia Condon. He will be sadly missed by his son Dayne, daughter-in-law Melanie, and grandsons, Jackson and Logan, of Westerly; his sister Patricia Sullivan-Walker and husband Craig of Florida; his brother Richard and his wife Patricia of Waterford; nieces, Krista Duranti and Stacey Maskell, husband Larry and their sons, Raleigh and Mason.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, at Groton Bible Chapel, 88 Tollgate Road, Groton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Groton Bible Chapel.
