Columbia Daily Chronicle, Dec. 29, 1883, p.3, col.4. "The body of C. O. Fields, who died in this city some two or three years ago, will be disinterred this evening and shipped to San Jose, Cal., tomorrow."
According to cemetery receipts, this plot was purchased by Mrs. M. E. Field on Jan. 16, 1884.
