Gerald Krebsbach of Fond du Lac, passed away on January 29, 2024, at The Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Silica, Wisconsin on January 26, 1931, to Anton and Matilda (Koenigs) Krebsbach. He attended New Holstein High School. He served in the US Army from Nov. 3, 1951 to Oct.18, 1953. He married Sylveria O. Anhalt on June 18, 1955, in New Holstein, WI. Over the years he was employed at Mendota State Hospital, Giddings & Lewis, Oshkosh Correctional, Taycheedah Correctional. He retired in 1996 and then was a self-employed electrician until 2010. Gerry also operated Empire Mills, cider pressing operation, with his wife Syl from 1976 until 2009. Gerald was a member and Past Commander of Mt Calvary American Legion Post 454. He was also a member of the DAV. He and Sylveria were members of We Love To Dance Club. He and his wife traveled to Alaska, Australia, Germany, and several trips with the Fond du Lac Senior Center. He was survived by one son David, Fond du Lac, three daughters; Sharon Rauls, New Holstein, Phyllis Wimmer, Fond du Lac, and Linda Mae (Jim) Prichard, Lewisville, Texas, 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sylveria, son Jeffrey, 3 brothers Claudie Krebsbach Orville Krebsbach, and Norman Krebsbach. 2 sisters, Lucille Daun, and Marietta Krebsbach Sisters-in-law Emily Krebsbach, Evelyn Krebsbach, Patricia Krebsbach, Dolores Anhalt, Valeria Pingel, Clara Anhalt, Nina Anhalt, and brothers-in-law Alvin Daun, Ray Pingel, Orville Anhalt, John Anhalt, Edward Anhalt. Services- Gerald's family will greet friends and relatives for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 271 Fourth St. Way, Fond du Lac. Entombment is at Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
