Attached 1966 application for headstone indicates burial in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa NJ, where his wife and son are buried. The obituary may have been inaccurate, or his remains were relocated between 1955 and 1966.

Hartford CT Courant, Wednesday, November 2, 1955:
Hugh John Pace, 66, of North Road, died at his home late Monday night. A native of New York City, he was with the Dept. of Hospitals there for 18 years, retiring in1944, when he took up residence here. He was a member of the Carlson-Sjovall Post, AL Royal Arcanum of New York City and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 3 of New York City. He was a veteran of the first World War.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Catherine Mae Pace of Cromwell; a son, William B. Pace of New York City; and two sisters, Mrs. George Packham of Long Island and Mrs. George Hardy of Philadelphia. The funeral will be held at his home Thursday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Robert J. Elty will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Friends may call at the home all day Wednesday.
