Mrs. Barbara "Gail" Harvell, age 65, of the New Harmony community of Arab, Alabama passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at her home and surrounded by her family. Gail was born December 10, 1958 in Marshall County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Delbert "Jack" Franklin and Kathleen Smith Franklin and for over 50 years she was the wife of Gary Hugh Harvell. Gail was a member of God's Way Ministries.
Gail was a special lady. Not only was she a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother but she was everyone's best friend. She took pleasure in supporting her husband in his ministry as pastor but she didn't stop just at being the pastor's wife. She enjoyed her family but Gail considered the entire church membership as family. She also served as the church's clerk/treasurer. In her leisure time she would work on her word search puzzles, cook and enjoy nature by watching wildlife.

Services for Gail was at God's Way Ministries. The family received extended family, friends and guest February 1, 2024 and again on Friday, February 2, 2024. The funeral service began after visitation. Burial was in Arab Memorial Cemetery.
