Joyclyn June Gerroll, 98, of Manitowoc, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehab Center.

Joyclyn was born on January 10, 1926 in Minnesota, daughter of Roy and Martha (Bertram) Smith.

She was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, where she was a member of the Poly Wog team.

She married Robert Otto Gerroll on August 8, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2008.

Joyclyn worked as a banker at the bank formerly known as the White Bank in Two Rivers, then First Wisconsin Bank and currently known as US Bank before retiring in 1990.

Joyclyn was a member of United Methodist Church in Two Rivers where she served on the board of trustees and was a member of Rachel Circle. She was a member of the Ladies Elks Auxiliary, Rough Riders Horse Club, was a Scout leader, and delivered Meals on Wheels. She was the proud Co-Owner of Port Sandy Bay Riding Stables and a Co-Founder of Two Rivers Family Swim Club.

Joyclyn was a very friendly, loyal, strong woman. She was always interested in her children and grandchildren's lives, supporting them in their activities and interests. Joyclyn was also interested in the community. In her later years she would share stories of bank loans she made that had a positive impact on the growth of Two Rivers. She has many friends, interests, and volunteered in the community and at church but she was most proud of her banking career.

Joyclyn enjoyed time in Door County at Gitche Gumee Resort, she also enjoyed traveling, baking, bridge, sewing, and community government. Joyclyn was also an avid supporter of the Capitol Civic Centre.

Joyclyn was survived by her two children, Terry Rahn and Rick (Christine Kornely) Gerroll; grandchildren, Erin (Joseph) Balla and Brian (Ann) Rahn; great-grandchild, Devin Nicholson, and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Joyclyn was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Martha (Hendries) Smith; husband, Robert Gerroll; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lawrence (Lou Ann) Gerroll, Virginia (Robert) Barbeau, Shirley (Roy) Kretsch, Janice (Ralph) Engelhardt, Betty (Leo) Holschbach, Harold Gerroll, and Walter Leschig; and parents-in-law, Herbert and Aletta Gerroll.

Memorial donations in Joyclyn's honor may be made to the Capitol Civic Centre.

The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Pfeffer location, assisted the family.
