Donald F. Hemb, 84, a resident of Rocky Knoll, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan. He was born October 24, 1939 in Spring Valley, Town of Meme to the late Edwin Herman Sr. and LaVerne (Sohn) Hemb. Donny graduated from Kiel High School with the Class of 1957. He then went on to proudly join and serve in the US Army from 1957 to 1965.

Donny worked in the warehouse at Schultz Save O Stores for 31 years retiring in 1993. He had a strong faith and was a member of St. James UCC in Spring Valley. Donny was a man of many talents, not only did he farm on his hobby farm, he was also a talented carpenter. Donny enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing with family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Kiel Fishing Game Club.

Donny is survived by his son Todd (Carla) Hemb, five grandchildren; Kaylee (Joe) Holzwart, Greta (Joe) McDonald, Alicia (Caylon) Thede and Jordan (special friend Kaitlin Miller) Hemb and Nathan (Sarah) Dassow, seven great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Vickie Hemb. Donny was preceded in death by his parents, son Richard and two brothers Edwin Hemb Jr. and Kenneth Hemb.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 2:00 PM at St. James UCC, 13312 Pioneer Rd., Newton, with Pastor Nathan Athorp officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors at St. James UCC Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Life Enrichment Program at Rocky Knoll in Donny's name.
