John David Pugh, 80, Mankato, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the church.

John was born July 25, 1934 in Mankato to Thomas and Irene (High) Pugh. He graduated from Mankato High class of '53.

John was united in marriage to Charlotte Schulties on June 26, 1976 in Minneapolis. John farmed until 1986 when he went to work at Taylor Corporation. In his early years, he enjoyed woodworking. Other interests included people-watching, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and telling stories of the past. John was a member of the Moose Lodge, Osman Shriners, and the Mankato Masonic Lodge #12.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Pugh of Mankato; son, David (Tabitha) Pugh of Mankato; brothers, Howard (Marcia) Pugh of Lake Crystal and Emlyn (Pauline) Pugh of North Richland Hills, TX; sister, Barb Miller of St. Peter; and many nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Harold and Emrys.--Woodland Hills Funeral Home
