"Pauline I. Serfass, 68, formerly of Fireline Road, Palmerton, died early April 11 in Gnaden Huetten Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lehighton. Born in Lower Towamensing Twp., she was a daughter of the late Jacob F. Sr. and Sallie E. (Bollinger) Serfass. Pauline worked as a housekeeper for the Carbon County Action Committee for several years. She was a member of St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church of Towamensing, Palmerton, and a former choir member. She was awarded by the church for having more than 23 years perfect attendence at Sunday school.

Survivors: Sisters, Elizabeth E. Trexler of Bethlehem, Emmma E. Fink of West Bowmans, Wilma A. Mohr of Kempton, Ruth Ann, wife of Carl Hausman, and Delores E. Serfass, all of Walnutport; brothers, Jacob F. Jr. and wife Sharon of Thornhurst, Walter S. and wife Sandra of Bowmanstown, Albert A. and wife Donna of Palmerton; many nieces and nephews.

Services: Private funeral services.

Interment, Towamensing Cemetery, 3rd Street and Fireline Road, Palmerton. Arrangements, Campton Funeral Home, Palmerton.
