Maxine was the only child of Floyd H. Adams and E. Elsie Pollard Adams. She married her high school sweetheart, John R. Aiken, in 1951. She supported John in the Agway business for many years, and with him raised five children. She also worked for many years as a Librarian Aide at Palmyra Macedon High School. In her younger years she was an active member of the Palmyra Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. In her later years, she was an avid reader - especially of mystery stories, an adventurous traveler, loved word search books, and greatly enjoyed playing card games with family, sharing laughter, and making memories with her eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
