Bean Bacon Hill, were married
Wednesday, Sept. 12. at 2:30 p.m.
at the home of the bride.
The Rev. Martin Hoeksema, pastor
of the Northumberland Reformed
Church. Bacon Hill, performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was given in
m a r r i a g e by her father, wore a
gown of white frosted organdy
over satin, made with fitted bodice,
cap sleeves, scalloped neckline with
illusion net and full skirt of ballerina
length. A fingertip veil of
Illusion net fell from a cap of material
matching the gown. She
carried a round bouquet of white
roses with ribbon shower.
Miss Mildred A. Rugg of Bacon
Hill, sister of the bride, was the
maid of honor. She wore a gown
of powder blue frosted organdy,
made with fitted bodice, cap
sleeves, sweetheart neckline and
circular skirt. She wore a cap of
the same material as the gown
and carried a round bouquet of
pink roses.
Kenneth R. Williams of Bacon
Hill, brother-in-law of the bridegroom,
was the best man. ,
The ushers were Floyd Rourke,
Gansevoort, and Leon Sparling, S.
Glens Falls.
The ceremony took place in front
of a bank of ferns, white hydrangeas
and white gladioli. The
home was decorated with seasonal
flowers.
Mrs. Charles Platner played the
traditional wedding-music, and
Mrs. Kenneth Williams, sister of
the bridegroom, sang I Love You
-Truly and O Promise Me. Mrs.
Platner was her accompanist.
A wedding reception was held
at the home immediately following
the ceremony.
The mother of the bride wore a
gown of light blue rayon print and
a corsage of American Beauty
roses. The bridegroom's mother
wore a gown of navy blue chiffon
print and a corsage of pink roses.
For' a wedding trip through the
New England States Mrs. Bean
wore a navy blue suit of wool
gabardine with navy blue and
white accessories and a navy blue
velvet hat.
Guests were from S. Glens Falls,
Gansevoort, Argyle, Middle Falls,
Mechanicville, Saratoga Springs,
Mount Vernon, Albany, Ballston
Lake and Schenectady.
The bride, a graduate of the
Schuylerville High School, is a
senior at the New York State College
for Teachers in Albany. She
is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
The bridegroom, also a graduate
of the Schuylerville High School,
enlisted in the Air Corps Mar. 5
and took his basic training at
Sampson. He was graduated from
a trades training institute at
Prairie, Miss., in July and from
t h e Oklahoma A. and M. College,
Okmulgee, Okla., in September. He
is now stationed at Lockbourne Air
Force Base, Columbus, Ohio.
