Fort Worth Star-Telegram (TX) February 1, 2004 > Betty Evelyn Alsup, of Euless, age 70, beloved wife and mother, passed from this life Saturday, January 31, 2004, at a local hospital. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brown Trail Church of Christ, Bedford, where Betty had been a member for the last five years. Interment will be in Willow Springs Cemetery, near Weatherford, under the direction of George J. Carroll & Son Funeral Home. There will be no visitatin. Betty was born February 26, 1933, in Fort Worth to Maybeth and Olan Mathis. She moved to Grand Prairie and begin elementary school. She was a life long resident of North Texas, with homes also in Gainesville, and more recently in Euless. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Robert Elmore Alsup, sons, Scott Alsup of Euless, and Bubba Alsup of Missoula, MT; five grandchildren, sisters, Nancy Tarrant of Morrow, GA, and Mary Lee of Plano, TX.
