Mary B. Martin, 95, passed away at home on Sunday, January 14, 2024.


Mary was born in South Bend, Indiana, June 8, 1928 as the daughter of John and Mary (Nemes) Weiss. She was raised in Kingston NY until returning to South Bend after grade school.


On May 6, 1950 in South Bend she married Daniel Martin, he proceeded her in death on February 27, 2008.


Mary was a nurse for many years. She enjoyed camping and traveling with Dan, visiting most of the United States and going to Australia and New Zealand. She also liked to garden, knit, and read. She was a parishioner at Queen of Peace Church for over 50 years and a member of the Christ Child Society. She volunteered at Busy Hands and knitted scarves for Christmas for Tots.


A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 27 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior at the church.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Queen of Peace Church, 4508 Vistula Rd Mishawaka, Indiana 46544-4099.
